The interesting rooflines on this existing home in Swampscott became the inspiration for a two-story addition that fit right into the existing building and the context of the charming character of the neighborhood. The back screened in porch picked up on the details of an original smaller addition, wrapping the house in a consistent layer of horizontal layers that provided a finished and soothing final product.

A new family room on the 1st floor became the base for a new second floor master bedroom suite.   over a new fully conditioned basement game room for the kids.
