Wing to Colonial Craftsman

The Owners of this property had been living in this home for over a decade. The long entry driveway on this narrow site terminated with a dated garage with minimal turn around room for cars. The required expansion of a new master suite and office were designed into a back wing above a new garage and workspace, providing for exciting new spaces within.

The exterior morphed into an interesting interplay of the simple colonial shapes and a craftsmen style for the L shaped new wing. An 8 KW solar PV systems was designed in for the southeast facing roof for a future install to run the new ductless mini-split heat pump mechanical system installed for the new spaces. The complexity of the project with multiple floor levels and roof heights were masterfully managed by the careful craftsmanship of Hamlin Construction and project manager Jonathan Pratt.
