This Renovation Project provided a new two-story apartment, integrating an existing attic with new loft and back porches. Moving into the ground floor apartment as the renovation was proceeding, the Owners were completely engaged in the planning and details of this design build project. Taking out the center section of the existing 2nd floor ceiling and adding 3 new dormers to the existing roof, allowed for a much needed new bath, office and guest room, all linked from a new 3rd floor balcony with light streaming down to the open living spaces below.
A new back 2 story covered open and screened in porch off the back kitchen entry completed the roof design and accessed independent back entries and egress.
